As much as I love a top that is covered in a pretty print or pattern, I also love simple things. Sometimes, it’s the little things that really make all the difference in my opinion. That’s why I love this particular top. It is a simple purple sleeveless top, but the gold frill detail sets it apart from all the other purple sleeveless tops in the world and gives it that extra something. Also, I think purple is seriously underrated as a holiday color. Most people think of berry colors, golds and greens for the holidays, but purple – especially deeper purples, just make me think of winter and the holidays. The gold detail on this top add to that feeling and on top of that the gold details are like ribbons, which further deepens my connection between this shirt and the holidays.
The first picture is taken outside, in the morning, and the closeup was taken inside and in the evening. Lighting really makes such a difference in color! Also, the first picture makes the shirt pull more purpley-fuschia, but I would say the true color is a shade in-between the two pictures. As you can see, the ends of the ribbons are not stitched down. I can’t decide whether I would like it better if they were or not.
