Leather Accented Sweater Dress

It’s finally been consistently above 40 degrees during the day lately! I may be jinxing myself since the current weather report is for a wintery mix this Friday, but let’s hope that doesn’t happen. But nonetheless, the past few days have been pretty nice and even above 50 by the time I leave work.

With this warmer weather, I finally got to wear a dress the other day to work! Yes, I know I could always wear a dress during the cold, winter months, but unless it’s a special event warmth wins.

Originally, I was going to wear lace tights with this sweater dress and my boots, but the temperature at work is never predictable and seeing as how this week I’m a test administrator for standardized testing this I want to make sure I’m comfortable. Therefore, I decided to wear leggings with my boots instead. I also chose to wear flat boots, not only for comfort, but also because I would be standing/walking around all morning during testing. Plus, I didn’t want to wear shoes that would click on the floor since that would be super annoying while the kids are testing!

This dress is really comfortable and surprisingly warm. The knit is smooth, but also has a good weight to the material and feels really well made. I also love that this is not your normal, every day, sweater dress because of the leather accents on the neckline and shoulders.

The leather accents give the dress just a little bit of an edge which means this dress can easily transition from work wear to an after-work dinner or drinks outing.

This week in my Monday-Friday makeup basket…
