OOTD: Spring Transitions
It may be the end of April, but the weather is still making up its mind about what season it is over here. One day it’s sunny and gorgeous out and then the next it’s chilly, rainy and windy. This can make it tricky to figure out what to wear as well as what to break out from the back of the closet and what to put away to save for the fall and winter.
In order to deal with the indecisiveness of the weather, I find it helpful to combine seasonal pieces. Yesterday, I wore a sleeveless dress which is clearly spring/summer with boots and a cardigan – clearly fall/winter.

Dress: gift
Cardigan: Byline
Boots: Steve Madden via DSW
Watch: Fossil
The dress was a gift and I have another one in a different color, which I’m sure I’ll be wearing soon.
In my Monday-Friday makeup basket this week…

Face: Smashbox More than Primer Blemish Control, Covergirl + Olay Tone Rehab Foundation, IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye, Smashbox High Definition Concealer, bareMinerals Well Rested, Neutrogena Mineral Powder, bareMinerals Mineral Veil, L’Oreal Magic Lumi Primer (highlight), Milani Baked Bronzer, MAC – Isabel and Ruben Toledo Ombre Blush (Azalea Blossom), bareMinerals Luminizer, MAC Fix+
Eyes: Lorac Behind the Scenes Primer, theBalm Shady Lady Special Edition, Wet n Wild Brow Kit, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara
Lips: ELF Matte Lip Color (Natural)
The blush is so beautiful and the ombre of light pink to light purple is just perfection. However, I do wish the blush was a tad more pigmented, but I’ll probably write a more in depth review at some point soon.
Back to the point of this post – when the weather can’t make up its mind just slowly transition from one season to the next. You don’t need to jump in with shorts and flip flops at the first sign of warm weather, especially when the next day might be completely different and you don’t want to end up with a cold! Instead, transition from one to the other with a combo of pieces from the different seasons.
