Denim Shortall
Overalls and shortalls made a big comeback this year and I was very hesitant to give them a try because I was afraid I would look like a little kid. However, on a recent trip to Kohls, I saw these light, acid wash, denim shortalls and decided to try them on. I ended up really liking the look of them on me for a casual summer outfit and so they came home with me.
Shortall: Mudd via Kohls
Tank Top: JCrew Factory
I decided that wearing the shortalls with a tank top rather than a short-sleeve shirt helps ensure that you actually do look like an adult. I think that wearing a short-sleeve shirt definitely gives a younger look and feel to the outfit and then I would really be pushing the limits of looking like a little kid. I love the pairing of the wash of this denim and the ikat tank top. The drawstring to the shortall here also gives a more feminine and adult look because it cinches the waist a bit so that it’s not too loose or tom-boy looking. Like with rompers, the only annoying thing about this is that you have to take the whole thing off to go to the bathroom, which is why I would probably only wear it if I’m not going to be out all day. Overall, I’m really glad I gave this comeback trend a try!
