Pink for October
As most of you know, October and the color Pink have become synonymous in recent years to raise awareness for breast cancer. Many of us, myself included, have also been personally effected by breast cancer in some way. Every year my school does a fundraiser where students donate a few dollars to be able to dress down by wearing pink and/or white. This is especially a good turn out because the students at my school wear uniforms.
Of course, I took part in the fundraiser and donned a long bright pink cardigan, retro-inspired floral top, jeans, and dark grey ankle boots.
Cardigan & Top: Express
Jeans: LC Lauren Conrad
Boots: Nordstrom Rack
I love the big, bold flower print on this short sleeve top. It really gives off a retro vibe and we all know retro is in! The boots have the metal toe cap which make them so fun.
This look is very similar to a look I posted last year with the same cardigan, a different floral top underneath, jeggings, and brown ankle boots. The bolder floral top in this look and the dark grey boots with the metal toe cap gives off an edgier, darker look than the one from last year which was more casual and light. That is something I love about fashion – you can change things up that seem like very minor details and get a whole different look! Even still, the looks are similar which goes to show not to mess with a look that works!
