Green Broderie Lace Smock Top
Do you know what broderie lace is? This green smock top has a lace-y design that I would’ve called or at least likened to eyelet, but the item description on ASOS called it broderie so I looked it up. Broderie is a specific kind of needlework that incorporates embroidery, cutwork and needle lace. You learn something new every day!
I actually shot this look for the blog back in October, but I decided to save it until now to share it on here since it is really a great holiday look with the color and style.

This green is a little more kelly green than a Christmas-y green, but nonetheless I think it’s a great holiday look. The delicate ruffles in the smock top aren’t over the top and help keep the look a little more simple. I love the broderie lace – it looks so simple from afar but up close you can see the intricate needlework and detail. You can easily dress this up or down. I wore it to work on the day I took these photos so wearing a nude cami underneath, black pants, and black flats made it work appropriate. But you can easily wear this with jeans and heels for a night out or jeans and boots for a more casual look. I’m all for the restyling!
My Caravelle watch is a few years old now, but I think the extra sparkle is also very holiday style appropriate. You can wear this look any time, clearly as I wore this in October! But, like I mentioned earlier it is a great look for this time of year too.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
