Happy Labor Day!
I have some things to do around the house today and just keeping it a low key day as I’m mentally preparing for school to start tomorrow. I’m teaching new grades this year so it’s going to be an adjustment and I can’t just go in tomorrow and do what I have been doing for the past few years. I’ll let you guys know how it goes!
Today, I’m sharing a trend that I’ve really loved seeing this summer – button front dresses! I love the style and look and I wish I got more than just this one this summer. This button front dress is white with an all-over floral print. The spacing and design of the print gives me country vintage vibes. If you look closely you can also see flamingos in the design, which I know isn’t country but it’s a cute little detail! The color/print is actually called “Tropics Marshmallow”, which is just the most adorable name, don’t you think?
The dress has tie straps so you can adjust it to fit you. The buttons are fake, which I like because that cuts down on any wardrobe malfunctions.

This dress is so comfortable and the material is decently thick too so no see-through-ness going on. I love that the buttons are tortoise shell because I think that’s so stylish. And this is another dress with pockets so clearly it’s a winner.
I wore this dress for my first day back to work 2 weeks ago, but all the days after that I wore jeans once I knew we could dress casually for all our in-service days. Now that kids are back tomorrow I have to go back to business casual so this dress may make another appearance in my ootd Instagram story posts before the weather gets too cold.
Now excuse me while I go back to my binge watching of Jack Ryan – I mean vaccuum and swiffer the floors.
Have a great day!
