Embellished Necklace + Velvet

For a second last night I thought it was Wednesday and then I realized it was only Tuesday. I hate when that happens!  But today is Wednesday and I’m hoping it doesn’t drag.

Today I’m sharing a necklace I wore to work last week with a blue velvet top. This blue velvet top has been on the blog before. I love the rich sapphire blue color and the ruffled sleeves. Velvet is such a sumptuous, beautiful fabric for fall and winter and blue velvet is probably my favorite. I wore it to work last week with this beautiful embellished necklace. It features rosey hued pearls and crystallized links. I’m not sure what the links are made of, but they are a bit soft. Not super soft, but soft enough that if you squeeze it can squish a tiny bit. There are also a few rose shaped roses in the necklace – they’re such a sweet detail to the necklace.

The necklace was a gift from my cousin and I think it’s so pretty and will go with so many things. It’s definitely the kind of easy necklace you can throw on and instantly dress up any outfit. I think it looks great against the blue velvet. The blue velvet, ruffle sleeved top is so pretty on its own, but throw on this embellished necklace and it takes the look to another level.
