Now that Halloween seems like a distant memory (how’d that happen so quickly?) – we are getting into holiday mode. I went to the mall yesterday and all the Christmas decorations including the tree and a line for pictures with Santa, were already there. I haven’t begun my Christmas shopping yet, but I have started a list of what I plan to get people or at least my ideas for them.
This post is not actually holiday related, but I’m making the connection because the color of the top I wore yesterday and the style are very holiday-ish in my opinion.
The upper half of my top has layers of material and placed in between a few of the layers is a fringed lace. It breaks up the layers and adds something unique to the mix. I’m wearing my beloved stretch cords from Uniqlo again, which I professed my love for in a recent post. As you can sort of see in the picture, it is short sleeved, so I of course wore a white cardigan. Not the one that “saved” my life, but a different one.
It’s hard to tell in the picture, but beyond the scalloping of the lace, it is fringed at the ends.
This week in my makeup basket….
Face: Smashbox More than Primer Blemish Control, Clinique Acne Solutions Foundation & Wet n Wild Coverall Foundation, Benefit Erase Paste, Smashbox High Definition Concealer, BareMinerals Well Rested, Neutrogena Mineral Powder, BareMinerals Mineral Veil, Sigma Blush (Born To), Milani Baked Bronzer, BareMinerals Luminizer, MAC Fix+
Eyes: Lorac Behind the Scenes Primer, Sigma Beauty Palette (Smoke Screen), Wet n Wild Palette (Petal Pusher), Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara, Wet n Wild Brow Kit
Lips: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss (Snow Pink)
I opted for 2 different eye palettes this week just because I felt like having a lot of variety. The mascara is new to me and the verdict is still out on whether I like it or not. I’ve been using it for about 3 days now and still haven’t made up my mind yet. I feel like it does volumize a bit, but doesn’t hold my curl.
Back to the top, it reminds me of the holidays with it’s rich color and the satiny layers make me think of gift ribbon. Not to mention the little details of fringed lace. Lace, for some reason, makes me think winter and holidays.
Are any of you ready for the holidays?
