Bright Colors in the Fall
Today is supposed to be unusually warm for late fall, but just a few days ago it felt like winter weather. I wrote last week about incorporating some pops of color on a drab day and while last Friday was not a rainy day, I still decided to wear some bright colors for my dress down at work.
Cardigan: Express
Top: Old Navy
Pants: Uniqlo
Boots: Betsey Johnson Litzlo Combat Booties via DSW
Watch: Michael Kors
I decided to wear neutral earrings to add a little extra sparkle to my look. but keep it simple and not add any more colors. These studs are from a pack of multi-color studs I got at Target earlier in the year.
I really love how this outfit came together. I knew I wanted to wear this cardigan and I started to put together the outfit in my mind the day before. I remembered that I recently saw this floral top from Old Navy in my drawer a few days ago and I just bought these pants from Uniqlo earlier in the week, ya know when I went to start Christmas shopping aka also buying stuff for myself. The bright colors of the outfit make me think of warmer weather, but the combat booties ground the look back into autumn.
As I write this, I’m not sure if it’ll be as warm of a day as predicted, but I do know that that it’s not supposed to last and it’s going to be pretty wintery as the week progresses. Try adding in some bright colors to your wardrobe to ward off those winter blues!
