Spring Color Block

I love color blocking – I think it’s the perfect way to make a simple outfit, in this case a button down sweater, look more interesting than it really is. Because let’s face it, it’s just a button down sweater! But the vibrant color blocking of the orange and this purply/pink/fuchsia color make this ordinary sweater so much more.

Sweater: LOFT
Watch: Anne Klein

These are definitely not two colors I would’ve thought to pair up on my own, but once I saw the combination it was like they were meant to be together!

And as I usually do at some point during the week, here’s a look inside my Monday-Friday makeup basket this week…

Face: Smashbox More than Primer Blemish Control, Covergirl + Olay Tone Rehab Foundation, IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye, Smashbox High Definition Concealer, bareMinerals Well Rested, Neutrogena Mineral Powder, bareMinerals Mineral Veil, L’oreal Magic Lumi Primer (highlight), Milani Baked Bronzer, bareMinerals Luminizer, Milani Baked Blush (Rose d’Oro), MAC Fix+
Eyes: Lorac Behind the Scenes Primer, Pur Minerals Soul Mattes, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara, Wet n Wild Brow Kit
Lips: MAC Cremesheen Glass (Romantic Overture)

I wanted to show you an up close shot of the cremesheen glass in the shade Romantic Overture because I know it’s hard to get a good look at the shade in the overview picture of all the products. It’s pretty clear that I’m a neutrals fan when it comes to lip products and this peach gloss is so comfortable to wear and has just the right amount of shimmer to give a glossy finish to your pout.

My makeup products this week are wonderfully neutral, which was perfect since there’s so much brightness going on with the sweater.

I hope you all have a great Wednesday – we’re already halfway through the week! Don’t forget to check out my post from last evening, if you haven’t yet, and let me know if you have any suggestions on where I can finally get my hands on some nail dotting tools!
