Wispy Gauze Peasant Top

As this post goes live, I will be on my way to Atlanta – as long as there’s no delays that is (fingers crossed). I’m on my way down for the wedding of my oldest friend and staying with family for a long weekend. I’ll be sharing my look from the wedding next week! Anyway, this short trip is exactly why I’ve been working non-stop last week and this week because I had so much work to do and to get done for next week before I left! That stress coupled with my heartbreak over the election has done a number on me so it’ll be nice to decompress for a few days even if it will fly by no doubt and I’ll be back in time to go to work Monday morning most likely exhausted, but hopefully refreshed.

Today I’m sharing a top I wore a few weeks ago that I love and makes me happy just to look at. It’s a gauze peasant top – you have to feel it to get that gauze-y feeling, but you might be able to tell in a few of the close-up shots. The floral design on it makes me think “wispy” hence the title of the post.

This top is really all about the subtle details. You might be focused on the watercolor wispy floral print, but I also love the ties at the end of the sleeves, the collar detail, and the little buttons at the neck. This very light blue gauze top is called “spa blue”, which I think is the perfect name since it does look calming and serene. Calm and serene is just what we need right now!
