Floral Embroidered Mock Neck
It’s always hard to come back to work after a long weekend or break. Hopefully today goes by pretty smoothly!
It’s supposed to be pretty hot today, but I’m sharing a look today that’s perfect for those more mild or cool spring days. I wore this floral embroidered mock neck top last week. Despite it being long sleeves and a mock neck, the top is very thin and lightweight so it’s not really that warm. I love the bright floral embroidery against the black. I think if you did a search on my blog you’d find a dozen (or more) blog posts that have “floral embroidery” in the title. But hey, I like what I like!

Top: LOFT | Pants: Uniqlo | Shoes: DSW
The sleeves slightly bell out, which is a nice detail. Since the top is a bit loose I decided to go with more fitted bottoms to balance out the look – and went with the grey pants from Uniqlo. I also decided to go with the grey to break up the look because I didn’t want it to be too dark. Does anyone else struggle to decide what color pants/bottoms to wear with black tops?
To finish off the look I wore my open-toed block heel sandals to add a level of chic to the look. These shoes, which I also have in light grey, look so good and really elongate the legs. I naturally have long legs, despite being so short, and I think these shoes really help accentuate that, even if I’m not bare legged in this look.
Have a great day!
