Color Block Skirt OOTD

I love colorblock pieces and think it gives any regular items of clothing a little something extra. You can’t go wrong with color blocking, unless it looks like a hodge podge of all different things sewn together. I wore this black and grey colorblock skirt to work the other day. It’s a double-knit ponte skirt so it stretches and holds shape. The material is not thing by any means – I know sometimes when we think stretchy, we think thin. It is a thick, good quality, double knit material.

I chose to not tuck the top into the skirt to give it a more unstructured look. I felt it also let the colors mingle together more.

The top is a favorite of mine. It’s a burn out top, but it’s hard to tell through pictures, especially since I’m wearing a tank underneath it. So here’s a shot of it on a hanger.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, if it’s not Monday already wherever you are!
