Blazer & Lace

Yesterday I wrote about bright colors and today I’m bringing you a monochromatic look. I went out for my friend’s birthday Friday night and knew I wanted to wear this striped lace top, which has a beautiful back (which I forgot to photograph). Not only is it sheer lace, but it is sleeveless so not ideal for the cold temperatures that night. I decided to wear this one button blazer and I felt like it really completed the look and gave it a really sophisticated feel. I then paired it with nude wedges to play off the stripes of the top and do something different than black heels. I was also wearing a nude color tank top underneath the lace top so that nude color peeked through a bit as well.

For my makeup, I wore the standards that I wear during the week in terms of foundation, concealer, mascara, etc. The only things I changed up were….

I used blush and bronzer from the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Kit, lip gloss from Nyx (Natural), and eyeshadows from the BareMinerals – A Vision in Velvet holiday set from 2 years ago (Velvet Violet & Satin Plum).

So what do you guys think of the blazer and lace look?
